and the octagonal logo are registered with the State of Illinois and the United States of America.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Midwest Yoshinkai Aikido Association is a not-for-profit, educational
corporation set up under laws pursuant to the State of Illinois. The Association
was established in 1963 to oversee Yoshinkan Aikido in the Midwestern area.

The functions of the Association are several:

  • Serve as an official representative of the AYF in Japan
  • Authorized to grant certificates of advancement in Yoshinkan Aikido
  • A vehicle to train and certify potential instructors
  • Assist all affiliated instructors of the MYAA
  • Educate the general public and promote Aikido in North America
